Delete your account in the app

1. Open Vessels Info and sign in.
2. Open the Account tab.
3. Scroll to the Danger Zone.
4. Select Delete Account and confirm your request.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the address registered to your account. Use “Vessels Info Account Deletion” as the subject.

What will be deleted

Your account is permanently deleted 12 hours after the request. This removes your account profile and authentication data, your watchlist, fleets, notes, photo likes, contributor points and notification tokens.

What is kept

• Vessel photos you contributed stay published under the licence you granted when uploading, with the name shown at the time. To have your name or your photos removed, email [email protected].
• Reports and suggested corrections you submitted are kept for moderation records but are no longer linked to you.
• A one-way hash of the device identifier your account was created on, so the new-account Pro access is given only once per device. It cannot be turned back into the identifier.
• Database backups are kept for up to 14 days before being overwritten.
• Information required for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes, and app-store purchase records, which remain subject to the applicable store’s retention rules.
